Disadvantage: The photovoltaic system is very expensive to implement

The equipment that can demand more money are the solar panels because you may require a large number, this can be reduced by hiring the services of qualified companies that optimize the amount.

As one of the advantages of the photovoltaic energy system is its flexibility, you can start by placing the minimum amount of solar panels you need for your current critical needs.

Subsequently, you can gradually increase that capacity by installing more solar panels, i.e., you can divide your system into modules.

In spite of the above, in the short and medium term you will recover your investment with the savings you obtain in your electricity bill.

Disadvantage: Requires periodic maintenance

The maintenance tasks are very simple, since they consist of cleaning the solar panels every 3 months, which you can do yourself with the proper precautions.

It is also recommended that the connections and equipment be checked annually by duly certified personnel.

You must keep in mind that all types of installations must be maintained and checked, so this point cannot be considered a disadvantage exclusive to photovoltaic systems.

Disadvantage: Solar panels require a very large area and can cause aesthetic problems

The dimensions of the space required depend on the capacity of the solar power system, which defines the number and size of the solar panels.

On the other hand, you should know that it is possible to divide the panels into several smaller spaces, without major problems.

Regarding the aesthetic problems, we have that the solar panels look very technological, both in shape and color, which will give your house a very attractive futuristic look. So you should not worry in this regard.

Disadvantage: Solar panels are susceptible to physical damage

This includes damage caused by vandalism, hail and other natural phenomena.

In reality, this possibility is not greater than that of all roofs, on the other hand, they are built with materials that are not fragile. Obviously, they do not have the capacity to withstand great mechanical stresses.
